Works from sketches and drawings, plans and installs electrical, pneumatic and instrumentation systems and components to applicable code requirements.
Installs, maintains, repairs, replaces, calibrates, tests and troubleshoots all manner of instruments, electrical devices, pneumatics, valves, switches, control panels and control systems.
Reads and demonstrates an understanding of ladder logic, P&IDs, one-line electrical drawings, process flow diagrams, and instrument service manuals.
Reads, troubleshoots, identifies functions, and identifies inputs and outputs, and applications of electronic controller and control modules.
Uses a computer to access, read, and troubleshoot control and IO systems. Uses handheld controllers to calibrate and troubleshoot instrumentation.
Job Requirements
Knowledge of code requirements pertaining to electrical installations
Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts and weekends on a regular basis
Have a high regard and ownership for personal safety and the safety of others
Controls circuit experience
Proven troubleshooting skills
Ability to perform tasks wearing required PPE such as protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed boots, etc.
Ability to work as part of a team in a unionized environment
Ability to work independently without direct supervision
Physical Requirements
Moderate to heavy physical effort

Education and/or Experience
Minimum of 2 years of industrial manufacturing experience or 4 year degree or equivalent military training and experience is required.
High School diploma or GED is required.
